But seriously, it may be a programmable keyboard that you can program text
strings into keys.  It is possible, for whatever reason, that it is randomly
spitting them out because of some flaw in the keyboard.  Many keyboards for the
mac have this feature, and a Control Panel (or whatever they called it now,
MacPanel?), but the GS obviously didn't get a version of that CDev (what it
ought to be called) and this may be the result.

I'm sure one of the more hardware knowledgable people might have a much better
explanation, but that's the only one I can think of at the moment.
