Some facts regarding the Apple II and America Online:

1) America Online stopped Apple II access on November 1, 1994 at 12:00am
(along with the Q-Link and PCLink services).

2) There is still an Apple II forum, with a staff consisting of at least
three (at my last count) of the Apple II forum leaders from before
11/1/94.

3) Activity in the Apple II message boards on AOL has actually been
greater since 11/1, when compared to the months leading up to 11/1.
 
4) All of the Apple II software libraries remain intact, and you can still
upload new files to them (you will need to use a Mac or PC though)..

5) There are still many Apple II fanatics hanging around (AOL can't get
rid of us that easy :).

6) The addon for the Apple IIgs AOL software was called "Online Enhancer",
which was written by Andy Wells and Steve Bernacki.  Although, I think
Andy did most of the later revisions himself.

7) Online Enhancer was never "officially" approved by AOL.  But it did not
violate AOL's policy against altering the AOL program code either. 
(btw... the final release version of the program is still available in the
Apple II Forum libraries.)
