Re: Replacing a ROM 01 board with a ROM 03 board

As the title says I'm leaning toward replacing my ROM 01 motherboard
with a ROM 03 motherboard. I pulled the battery out of the ROM 03
board, since it was corroded, and cleaned up the battery holder as
best I could. So, of course, I'll need to get a new battery before I
change the boards out.

From everything I've read I think the ROM 03 is the better system.
Easier to change the battery, starts out with more memory, more
compatible with older Apple II software (any games that use page 2
graphics actually display on the ROM 03 instead of a screen full of
2's on the ROM 01), just to name a few things I know.

So my actual question is this: how hard is it to remove the ROM 01
board and put the ROM 03 board in? Bear in mind that according to my
wife I can't swing a wrench of turn a hammer, so if it's fairly easy i
can probably do it otherwise I guess I'll stick to the ROM 01 board.

TIA,
Dean
