I had the same problem with my Mockingboard and the GS. Some things (like
the sound utilities that came with the card) worked fine, while others
just died. I couldn't wait to try out the old Ultima III (My ][+ died
about a year ago) on it, but the program wouldn't even boot. Apparently
the version of copy protection used checked for the computers ID codes...
The GS didn't exist back then tho. Skyfox worked fine without the
Mockingboard, but with it plugged in it crashed. Music Construction set
worked from memory.
