I've had no problems whatsoever with mine; there are some people on
comp.dcom.modems who might tell you different, though... USR is
currently offering a free upgrade from VFC (which some say is buggy)
to a new VFC chipset, or a $34 upgrade to v34... I'm still waiting
after a month for mine... so are others. 

My only regret is that I hadn't bought the Supra vFC/V34, because it
supports Caller-ID, which the USR line does not.
