I'm not sure if you've dealt with posts on comp.binaries.apple2
before, but these posts are in BSQ format. This means you need to
first run it through a binscii decoder (there are many like 'sciibin'
for unix, 'sscii' or 'gscii' for the IIGS, and binscii.system for the
//e), then a .shk decoder, such as GSHK or Shrink-It.
No source code was included with this archive, so you can't compile
anything. Just unpack, install, and use. If you'd prefer to ftp, this
file can also be found at one of these fine ftp sites:
ftp.cco.caltech.edu, pub/apple2/incoming
(will be moved to pub/apple2/addons/cdev and apple2/NEW.FILES soonish)
grind.isca.uiowa.edu, pub/systems/apple2/apple16/System/Cdevs
(ftp is limited to 10 users; they have a cool BBS like interface
available by telnet to grind.isca.uiowa.edu)
ftp.io.org, pub/systems/apple2/16bit/System/Cdev
Followups set to comp.sys.apple2. If you still have questions,
ask them, or consult the FAQ for comp.sys.apple2.
