Uhhhhhhh, hello?  Speed?  ROM 3's can crank out much faster speeds with 
higher speed ZIPs, they are MUCH quieter, you can use cards in almost any 
slot as opposed to the ROM 1, and all around, my system performance has 
almost doubled upon my upgrading to a ROM 3.
