It will _not_ allow v.32bis (14.4) connects. The Rockwell chipset that the
duaghterboard is based on is 9600 (v.32) only. That daughterboard was used
in just about every 9600 v.32 type modem manufactured from about 1990-1992.
If you pick up an off brand older 9600 modem, it will probably have that
board in it. Thats how I upgraded several peoples modems, because I saw the
boards in various surplus stuff that came accross my way...
You may need to change the ROM in the modem, and perhaps the microcontroller
code as well. It's programmable and the chips are erasable. You may also need
to add a 62256 type SRAM and a jumper wire to the modem if it doesn't allready
have it.
