Re: some help required

On getting BINSCII...

I was able to get BINSCII.EXE downloaded, and the first thing I had to do
was strip out all the LF characters and replace them with CR's. The next
problem was getting the program to unpack itself. The system kept hanging
up on me. Finally, it dawned on me what the problem was. I copied the
EXE file to DOS 3.3, and EXECed it, it created BINSCII on my DOS disk, and
I was able to convert that to ProDOS and run it

It seems to me I had to do something else as well, since my copy of
BINSCII is now a SYSTEM file, but that was some time ago. I think I was
running into a problem with the version of ProDOS I was running on my ][e;
I imagine that if you are already running GS/OS, the BINSCII.EXE would
work fine from BASIC.SYSTEM.

Just my experience...
