Yes with handling of the resolution and colors per screen, but
not with live playback of images. MPEG Type-1 is a highly compressed
video format, animated images are achieved by on-the-fly decompression
as playback occurs. To my knowledge, this requires exteremly *FAST*
processing power, which I'm not even sure a ZipGS could help with.
Perhaps the combination of a ZipGS 10/64, Math-coprocessor board and the
Second Sight, MPEG video could be displayed directly? If not, the other
solution is an MPEG->PaintWorks $C1 convertor, then all you'd need is a
stock Apple IIgs with lots of available RAM (decompressed images saved as
PaintWorks animations would be quite large).
