The only major point I want to add at this point is that Harmonie is
sending a "reset printer" code at the start of every page after the
first one, and isn't sending the "set resolution" command again (it
does for the first page). The printer defaults to the resolution that
is specified by its DIP switches, which is 75 dpi by default (I think).
Harmonie continues to output enough data for 300 dpi, and it is blown
up by a scale of four times.
Fixing this would be very easy, if Vitesse would just change the
driver so that it reselects the appropriate resolution after the
printer was reset.
The suggested solution of changing the DIP switches so that the
printer defaults to the same resolution as you are trying to print at
is fine, as long as you want to print in that resolution at other times.
(Incidentally, this is the problem for which I wrote the "capture"
printer port driver.)
