	GS/OS recognizes filetype '$D7' as a MIDI sequence. There's no need
to change the Auxilary filetype, you can leave that set to the default '$0000'.
As far as changing it, quite a few commercial and public-domain programs will
do this. One is ProTERM 3.x, just select the "Set File Info" from the 'File'
pull-down menu. Then there's "UtilityWorks GS" (anyone have the latest version
btw?) that will do this as one of it's many options, it's shareware. Another
good one is "FAZ II - File Attribute Zapper" that runs under ProDOS 8 and
using a scrolling menu, displays all possible filetypes for you to choose from.
This is probably the best of the three, as you can look up the filetype you want
(MIDI, AppleWorks, PaintWorks, SYS, S16, etc) and it sets it for you. It's
probably a bit behind in the latest assigned filetypes and aux-types, but still
useful. It's public-domain and should be available via FTP sites, if not I'll
send up my copy.

	Speaking of MIDI programs, I stumbled across a gem while digging 
through rubbish! Dr.Tom (of 1WSW) uploaded his usual load of garbage to
the Caltech FTP site a few weeks back, though I managed to have a peek at
it before it was deleted. Seems in all that sector-edit junk, an untouched
beta MIDI conversion program was lurking. It converts both standard MIDI
and Diversi-Tune files into synthLAB sequences, even separates each channel
to it's own track. What's so great about it is, it converts them *INSTANTLY*,
there's less than a second's wait time. And to top it all off, it doesn't care
about filetypes, saving you the hassle of changing them! :) This is _not_ 
written or associated with Dr.Tom or 1WSW, just something he seemed to have
stolen and tossed in (like that other gem, the Phasor/ALF emulator I found
for the Ensoniq chip! :) The program is simply called "MIDI Convertor 0.7".
I'll post it to the binaries shortly. It's by far the fastest and best 
convertor I've tried to date! And yes, from my tests, it converts MIDI
and Diversi-Tune songs flawlessly...
