I don't know about the Rev C card, but I had all kinds of problems
with my SCSI setup. It turned out to be the cable going from my first
40Meg drive to my second 315Meg drive. The cable was 6 foot long
and had a 25 pin D connecter one end and a 50 pin centronnics on the
other. I replaced it with a much shorter, better shielded cable and
all of my problems went away.

If you have access to another machine, check the drive and controller
independently. "Divide and conquer."
