looking for help

Hi there,
 
     I have a friend who recently got his hands on an apple IIe.  Inside of it
was an MPC Peripherials Apple // parralel printer card rev b.  A week later he
got his hands on an Citizen msp10 printer.  The setup is working except that
the printer doesn't printout capitol letters when it is supposed to.  He is
apparently using a version of appleworks that is older than 3.0 (my version).
When we try looking at the printer codes on the change printer specifations
menu he only has the option to change interface card codes but not printer
codes.  I am going on the assumption that the problem is in the codes for the
parrallel card. Unfortunately, he does not have the manual for the card.  If
someone can lend assitance to fix this problem, your help would be appreciated.
