The jousting in Defender Of The Crown takes some practice, and I recommend
playing with a character with a good jousting rating to play with for a
while. In general, you want to hit the shield towards the middle, but I
usually get 'em with a good shot to the lower right corner. The timing of
the mouse click is something you've also got to get settled into-just
watch how close the other guy is to gauge when to click (you should click
right before the screen changes to the side view again).
About the swordfighting scenes-I usually let the princesses rot. It's
pretty hard, and I usually have such little life left by the time I get to
the last guard it's hopeless. I use Robin in Sherwood Forest sometimes to
help me,but even those times are usually to no avail. I use the "wave the
mouse all over and click a whole bunch" swordfighting method-maybe that's
why I suck. Hmm.
Good luck, and kill a Norman for me!
