Two words: BAD IDEA. But if it must be done, perhaps the best way to do
it would be to cut the traces carefully with a sharp blade, and then
cut the board afterwards. I've repaired (and tried to repair) cut
traces before, and it's just no fun whatsoever.
Does the computer have to be in the case? Maybe you could stick the
motherboard in another case or leave it in the //c case and just run
wires for the display, keyboard, etc. to the Mac case, which could be
mostly empty?
