- Summary: How do I download from GRIND using Zmodem?
I guess I'm going to finally have to ask and see if anyone here can
help me. I have a Unix account at my university. For about a year I
have been suffering through kermit transfers of rather large files.
I have tried to use Zmodem several times to transfer the files that I
FTP from the grind site. Well, the other day I decided to try zmodem
again and found that I can transfer most files that I save from the
newsgroups. However, when I try to use it to download files from
grind--I have the same problem with errors until ProTerm cancels the
operation. These are shrinkit archives and I am using ProTerm 3.1 on
on a ][gs with a ZOOM v.32bis fax modem.
The zmodem defaults to binary downloading. When I have to download
text files I use the "-a" command.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
James
