While this cost of $1.60 might apply to Sony and BMG and other large
pressers who are pressing many thousands of copies, I doubt whether
it applies to smaller concerns/smaller runs (way less than a
thousand).

In an advertisement in MacUser, small runs (30-100) of CD-ROMs
 start at $33/CD-ROM.
