I agree. I may not like a program, nor may I find any use for it,
but I still smile at the fact that people are still out there coding
on this little machine (and little it is).

I'm glad people like you still exist; i'm getting sick of the II
community itself. It's not like how it was 5 or 6 years ago. Too
many children (heh, look who's speaking :-) )... too much garbage.
"This sucks," "that's stupid: i've already seen it," "that's not-
hing impressive," "how lame," and "useless."
: WOW!
: Tip: there *might* be other reasons why there are less programs.
Of course. Other reasons: People seem to want money for IIGS
programs & hardware. Bah. Yeah, i'm sure someone out there is
saying sarcastically "OH NO! MONEY! WHAT A SIN! :-)" - but yes,
to me, it is. There's no way you'll be able to make a living off
of this machine today. Support what you can without throwing up
limitations, such as $.
Oh yes, then there's lack of interest... who wants a machine
which can only do 16 colours per scanline? Who wants a machine
which has a 64k DOCRAM limitation? Who wants a machine with a
1MHz bus? I personally don't like the IIGS's limitations, but I
still have it 'cuz I can't afford a PC, and, well, there's nothing
even close to resembling DreamGrafix for the PC. :-)
Ah. The main reason, IMHO (ding ding), is being flamed for what
you write. I'm tired of hearing people say "THAT SUCKS!," "(xxx)
is such a gimp for writing that...," or (most common) "What a
useless piece of sh**" when something comes out for the GS. A
real good example (sorry Auri) is PowerGS. You may not think it's
useful, nor may you think it's decent, but it's something being
developed for this out-of-date-and-dead machine. Be happy any-
thing exists at all: Mainly, i'm glad PowerGS is free. :-)
Just bringing out some valid points. Unlike Equinox, I won't put
on an "asbestos suit," because there's no reason to hide from the
flames of the ignorant.
