Help w/ Apple][e-->IBM?!

	o.k., I've got the apple][e with a super seriel card in it and I need to
transfer it to the IBM.   I've got the jumper block se                         
"terminal" and the  parallel (25) pin going between the machines.
I'm running small basic program the is spitting the alphabet out to "PR#1", and
my IBM running it's term program -- here's my problems:
	-When the alphabet is running, and I plug in the cable to the IBM, the apple
STOPS running until I unplug the cable again.
	-The terminal program is picking up NOTHING, EVER, on any speed.
	It seems to me that the term program is still looking in com3 (where My modem
is), when It should be looking at LPT1.  Is this a problem?
	
	I hear everyone talking about how to do this, but I've learned something, this
sucker's HARD!
 
	If anyone has ANY help they could give I'd be eternally grateful -- I'm just
about at the end of my rope!!
