You must go forth, gather information, items and other goodies, and
eventually venture underground to find a long-lost hero who's trapped.
(It's been a looooong time, and I'd love to get my hands on another
copy of this game; my original got corrupted.)
There are some really hard-to-reach items aboveground, requiring precision
movement and flying, but it's mostly preparation for the below-ground
search. Oh, yes, you'll need one particular item at the very end of the
game, but I'll let you find that one out. :)
The books help just a little -- they give you a little background on what
some of the items are and how they might be used.
