This sounds like the dreaded terminator power problem! At least
one device on the SCSI chain must supply terminator power. The
HS SCSI card doesn't. The RamFast does. The other tape drive
must too, since it works. So, try connecting both your hard
drive and the tape drive at the same time, and if it doesn't
work right away, fiddle with the id number on the drive.
I don't know if you need any other drivers or anything, however.
