Re: Fatal Error 0911

A couple of things. First, I think all the visible screws on the
underside of a System Saver GS hold hardware inside the case, and
don't actually hold the case together. There are 6 screws hidden
under the foam seal; one in each corner and one midway down on both
sides. I usually just probe around with a small Phillips screw driver
to locate the holes, then just push it through to access the screws.

As for my Fatal Error 0911 problem, it went away. I plugged all the
knock-outs on the back of my GS to re-route cooling air from under the
mother board as it was originally designed to do and even pulled out
the mother board to make sure there wasn't a build-up of dust on the
underside of the board. No dust, but there was an interesting looking
hardware kludge. I yanked the ZIP and put my original CPU back in
(backwards at first) and got the 0911 again. Thinking it might be a
corrupt RAM based toolset I re-installed my system software, put the
9/64 ZIP back in, and all was well. So ended a couple of nervous weeks!
I think I'm going to leave it alone for a while before trying to soup
it up to a 14/64 :)

Have fun!
