Since the Apple ADB keyboard and the PC keyboard use different
keyboard microcontrollers and have different formats for sending
command/data packets, wouldn't you need an adapter/translater
rather than just an adapter? I've been spoiled with an original
Apple extended keyboard on the IIgs and a Focus Keypro on the PC
so I haven't really thought much about this. But, it would be
neat to be able to use a PC keyboard on the IIgs since the
really nice ones are much more affordable and there is a larger
selection. I was thinking of an adapter with circuitry to
translate the PC keyboard data into something the IIgs ADB
controller can understand. On second thought, probably the best
way is to hack up a PC keyboard with the microcontroller from
the ADB keyboard. Anyone got a spare or broken Apple ADB
keyboard they'd like to donate? :)
