I was using CiderPress in WindowsXP successfully to move files back &
forth between my PC and a CF card, which I use in my ReactiveMicro's
IIgs MicroDrive IDE Controller card in my Apple IIGS ROM3 system. All
worked splendidly well. After I upgraded my PCs to Windows 7,
CiderPress will run and seem to function just fine until I go to copy
to the CF card. It simply will not copy files to the CF card. I have
tried everything I can think of: I've tried different CF cards,
reformatted them, tried different Win7 computers, even tried different
CF card readers (and even went so far as to purchase yet another brand
new reader) - all to no avail. Setting CiderPress' properties to run
under WinXP mode did not help. Re-installing CiderPress did not
help. I'm at a total loss at this point! I simply can not get
CiderPress to write the the CF cards under Win7.
Has anyone else had a similiar problem with CiderPress and Win7? More
importantly, anyone have any solution or ideas I may try?
CiderPress and the ReactiveMicro MicroDrive have been Godsends for
me. Unlike many others, I have no use nor desire to run an emulator.
I get a real kick out of running my actual IIGS, IIe and IIc systems.
And the CiderPress/MicroDrive combo have been the backbone of my
systems, allowing me to maintain a large base of Apple II software
disk images on my PC's hard drives and to copy over whatever it is I
need.
I posted in SourceForge, but that seems to be one big black hole, so I
am hoping someone here has a solution... or can work one up! Surely
I'm not the only one trying to use Win7 and CiderPress!
