Re: Fatal Error 0911
I may slowly be getting a handle on this. I've often pulled all the
back plane covers off of a GS thinking it would improve the air
flow through the CPU. This may have bee a big mistake. I suspect the
GS's case is designed to let cooling air enter the case from the
bottom, from under the motherboard. By opening all the back plane
covers I've practically eliminated all flow from under the main
circuit board. Early today I taped them all closed again. I had
my system go off to la-la land shortly afterwards, but then
re-booted and let it run all day. I've got my fingers crossed,
but it's giving the illusion of working. When I go into work on
Monday I may pull the motherboard out and check the bottom of the
motherboard for accumulated dust to see if I can improve air flow
a little more. I've also lifted the case about an inch off of it's
stande (the CPU sits under a table) to allow air to flow more freely
under the CPU. Someone suggested replacing my standard power supply
with a heavy-duty supply. I'm not so sure this would help as I really
haven't noticed the PS getting all that warm. Any thoughts?
Thanks for all the help!

P.S. Ground Track stuck again! My son and I watched Atlantis fly over
just a few minutes ago :)
