At work we have a DX2/66 running as the server for our AppleTalk network.
There are a few macs Ethernetted instead of AppleTalked too. Out of
curiousity, I took my GS to work to see how it would interact in
this environment. Well, I was hoping for better. It seemed that
the Apple II had no difficulty logging on to a Mac on the network, but
you were not even given the opportunity to logon as anything besides
GUEST to the PC running NT. The radio button to logon as a registered
user was just grayed out.
Since I really don't know squat about networking, I was curious if anyone else
out there had an explanation.
