1 Meg card self-test

I have a ][e (unenhanced). When I plug an Apple 1 Meg RAM card inti it 
and then run the self-test (Cn0AG) it runs for a random but short time 
and then fails. So I got hold of another //e (enhanced) and RAM card. 
Both cards pass the test in the //e but fail in the same fashion in the 
][e. 
I don't believe the RAM card needs an enhanced machine, but I can't think 
of anything else.... how about you?
