I have a GS (2.25MB RAM, Rom 01, 1-3.5" Drive, 1-5.25" Drive) and I want to
know how to get the boot blocks on an AppleShare 3.5" Startup to work properly
without having to go through another program to launch the "PRODOS" file on
the startup disk. When I try to boot the disk directly, I get the infamous
"Chack startup drive" Is there a solution to this?
I have a Quadra 700 connected through LocalTalk and an using (mac) System
7.5's file sharing. I managed to have it launch HyperCard GS and a few other
apps, but some don't seem to work. Is this because they can't figure out the
AppleShare Filing System?
Is there a way to load fonts into the system after the system has booted (I
can't fit much onto the 3.5" floppy)? I know HyperStudio had this capability,
and want to know if this can be done with another program so that HyperCard GS
can use these fonts.
Finally, is there a way to start the GS over LocalTalk when it is connected to
a mac with System 7 FileShare (not AppleShare)?
I am planning to give this machine away to a school, but I haven't kept up
with the going ons in the Apple II community. (Sorry). Please email a reply to
me, if possible.
Thanks in advance
Steve
