Apple and IBM Communications Problem
Hi there.
I want to convert some stuff from my Apple IIGS to my IBM.
However, I am having a communications problem. I am intending to
use the Apple IIGS's built-in modem port. I have an eight pin male
cable going to a twenty-five pin male plug at the other end. Since
my IBM has a male port, I must use a gender changer. Now, what is
happening is this. On one IBM computer, I get something that
vaguely resembles what the GS is sending. On another IBM, I get
absolutely nothing. I would think that I might need to use a null
modem adaptor, but I already tried that. Same result. I am using
software that depends entirely on the control panel settings. Any
help would be appreciated.
Configuration Information is as follows.
IIGS Rom version $3, System ID $0
Modem port Control Panel settings are as follows.
