Problem with Hera

It is just recently that I decided to download the Adventure game called
Hera and I found out it doesn't work on my system.
 
When I select "Create New Character" from the menu it tells me to "insert
the Player Disk and press <RETURN>". I do so and the program simply freezes
without doing nothing (no drive turns on).
What could be wrong?
Do the authors of this game have an e-mail address?
 
I am using an Apple //e (enhanced) with a Zip Chip, and the Disk II drives are
in Slot 5 (I wonder if any of that is the problem).
