If you have the latest version of GEOS, version 2.1, you should be able to make
a running backup just fine.  If you have 2.0 or earlier, they had copy
protection, and will not run, unless you use the disk labeled GEOS BACKUP.

GEOS was a great environment, and I still have most of the Apps, including
GeoFile, GeoCalc, and GeoPublish (and the plethora that came with the base
package).

GeoWrite is at version 2.2, so that might tell you what version of GEOS you
have, since 2.2 was including with GEOS 2.1.
