rtftohtml sounds interesting; it must have some special syntax for
doing the links, but the formatting could be handled directly in RTF.

What is the status of these programs (freeware, shareware, commercial,
etc.)? I would like to see HoTMetaL and rtftohtml. I don't have easy
access to a Mac, but I have Windoze at work and use a UNIX system with
a shell account (on a Sun) to access Internet. If anyone knows how to
get hold of these programs, can they please E-Mail me?

I should look at the program before commenting further. My current
thought is that it wouldn't be easy, and would require writing most of
an editor, with graphical capabilities, hypertext links, etc.

The idea of using HyperStudio or HyperCard IIgs as a base is rather
interesting. I'd prefer HyperCard in this case, as I haven't done any
programming in HyperStudio (I've hardly used HS since version 2.1, but
use HC quite often).
