I was a strong advocate of AOL when they were supporting the
II, and now I am even more of an advocate of GEnie. The A2
and A2Pro roundtables there provide more support than I know
what to do with! Very friendly bunch, too.
The only downside is that access to GEnie is not as universal
as it was to AOL. You have to be within local distance to
a big city or pay a $2/hr surcharge, but that has been
money well spent as far as I'm concerned.
There is one other downside. You might easily suffer
from information overload. The message traffic on the
A2 roundtable is at least 10 times the volume of the traffic
here on comp.sys.apple2
