Yes..as far as I know, you can still get the IIc upgraded. all you need to do is brin in your 2400bps modem or higher and your //c into yuor apple dealer, prove that it will not work, and they will replace it. I have done this quite recently, so if they so "no", I would suggest insisting on it.
