slow partition

ok, I just used DesktopDoctor just to try it out, and now one of my 
partitions take forever to appear on the desktop when I go to the 
finder.  Access to the partition is normal, but the slow recognition is 
pissing me off.  Does anyone know what the hell I can "undo" to bring 
this back to normal?
