Re: RAMFACTOR IIE: Stalls when fully populated 1024k; WHY?

Don't know if this applies to your condition, however, the RamFAST/SCSI
manual mentions the RamFactor in its trouble shooting section:

"Some RamFactors cause problems, especially in a IIgs machine...
If the RamFAST/SCSI works with the RamFactor out of the system and
doesn't work when it is in the system, there is nothing that can be
done beyond removing the RamFactor."

Q. Is it still true that nothing can be done if the RamFactor doesn't work?

A. Yes, the RamFactor feeds power or substantial noise into the IIgs
   bus, interfering with the RamFast/SCSI.

Q. Are there ways to idenify the bad RamFactors by serial number, etc.?

A. No.

Hope this helps,
