HD question

When my Seagate ST-296N for my BBS finally started to die it's last
death, I started to beg my users for a hard drive to replace it. A kind
user donated another HD. I would like to get some more information on
it (maybe a manual?) and the card that came with it.

It's a Digicard Shared Resource Controller case with a Quantum P80S
980-80-94xx (size: 82028.5K, 164057 blocks) HD inside, as well as ports
in the rear for connecting to printers and ports I assume are for
networking. There are lots of lights on the front, but only two come
on. One of the power lights (the rightmost), and the 8 network light
keeps blinking 8 times, then pausing, then repeating that. That's "A"
not "8". Rather disconcerting, that blinking light.
It's a HUGE full-height cases, grey with 1/2 of the face being black
plastic. (egads, my typing ^ sucks today!)

Anyone know anything about this and it's capabilities?

Also, with the drive came a little Digicard card. The card is marked
"Digicard D-Net". One of the chips (IC10) has a label that says "D-NET
1.5 ID 3835". There's another chip to it's right that's even larger
(IC4) marked "Zilog Z0853006PSC SCC 8916 GH". There are two
connector ports on the card, one marked "PRINTER" the other "D-NET".
Each connector has 10 pins, and is male. With the card came a cable
that was connected to one of those two ports (D-NET I believe), which in
turn connected (via 9-pin female to male connector) to another cable
that terminates in a small box with receptacles for two phone jacks.
(IE: I could plug two phone lines into it).

Any info on this card (and any software/manuals) would be nice for the
card and/or HD. Thanks!

Give what you would like to receive,
Glenn
