Help ID a CDROM ?

Hi. In a mysterious unmarked case there lies a CDROM drive (SCSI) which
I picked up for $50 + s/h. The label says "January 1993", so it's pretty
new, I think. It apparently didn't please someone much because they
scraped off the serial number. But the model number is

CDS 435 (if I remember correctly) and it's made by CHINON.

could people tell me:

	(1) speed (2x? 1x?)
	(2) Photo-CD compatible ?
	(3) SCSI ID set procedure ?

thanks!

Oh, and the audio out jack on the back of the CDROM drive (not the case)
is a mini-3-pin molex connector, marked L-G-R (obviously, left-ground,
right: I wonder if this is line-level or not...) thanks!
