-- RE: crossword puzzle gams.programs for the Apple2 --
Thankyou all for your replies. For any one who may be interested, I've
summarized your responses below.
==========================================================================
1. Commercial Product -- a very old crossword puzzle game for the Apple 2
called Crossword Magic (Mindscape)--lets you construct your own, too. Dos
3.3.
2. Freeware -- Crossword Assistant by Ed Oest.It prints beautiful looking
puzzles on an IW2. Just enter a list of words, and their clues, and the
program generates the puzzle.
3. There are several floating around out there, particularly word
search-type games. The one that pops in my mind was from the collection of
Christella Enterprise. You can get a catalog and demo disk (which I think
has a word search puzzle on it) for $2. Contact Christella Enterprise, P.O.
Box 82205, Rochester, MI
48308-2205.
4. commercial --'The New York Times Crossword Puzzles Vol. III', for the
Apple IIGS, II+, IIe, IIc (5 1sk), copyright 1987 Sharedata, Inc, Chandler,
Arizona 85226.
5. Also look for Puzzles And Posters by MECC.
6. If any Shareware Solutions II subscribers want to know about a fantastic
freeware Crossword Puzzle generator, just look at Issue 6, Page 15.
7. Softdisk published several crossword games that really worked great!
8. Check out MECC's Spelling Press. It can generate crossword puzzles and
hidden
words. Your list can also be used for Spellavator, another MECC program!

Thanks again, all!
