Re: "Multi-Finder"-type pgms for the IIgs?
Don't anyone forget MultiGS 2.0, from Dave Swanson, which has the following
great features.
- Crashes very infrequently.
- Has STACK SHARING (just like SwitchIt!)
- Multitasking can be turned off or on (so it can function just
like SwitchIt! or the Manager)
- Doesn't lose characters in Spectrum nearly as much as the
Manager, even at high-speeds, and file-transfers work even if
multitasking is turned on
- Background printing
- Can read in the preferences of applications created by The
Manager (multitask in, multitask out, shadowing, etc.)
- Shareware, $30
- VERY Fast, hardly know it's there, except for the increased
productivity
- Worksets, so that you can launch multiple applications by
double clicking on a single file, and even have a startup
workset
- Stack sharing can be used even when multitasking is on, so you
can have just as many apps running as in SwitchIt!, but they'll
be MULTITASKED too! (instead of just being switched to)
If you can't find it, it should be on caltech and grind, but I can post it here
on Cba2 and on those sites, as well.
