AMR 3.5" drive munching floppies? Help.

Hi,

I hope I am asking this in the right place.

I have a IIgs with the Advanced Micro Research 3.5" drive.  I use
mostly AppleWorks 3.0.  Lately, AppleWorks has been "getting errors
trying to read" some of the data files I have created lately.  This
has happened to several different disks.

Could the AMR drive be messing up my files? Has anyone had this happen
to them?  And if so, how much are 3.5" Apple drives for the GS running
these days?

I would appreciate email replies as I am not often able to read this
