What version of GS/OS are you using? This was a known problem in syssoft
6.0. (Something to with newline mode on a HFS volume. HFS -> ProDOS
something does not get reset correctly). ProDOS->ProDOS and ProDOS->HFS
work OK. GSCII+ was never updated to work around the bug. Syssoft
6.0.1 was _supposed_ to fix this in the HFS FST (I think this was where
to bug was). But I've never been able to confirm this. So GSCII+
should work with HFS volumes under 6.0.1, but you may be able to refute
this.

Eric Shephard, in a followup, says GSCII+ also has problems on Appleshare
FST. I can't confirm this. I download to Appleshare volumes using PT3.1.
I've never had a problem with GSCII+. Eric is downloading on a Mac to
an appleshare volume. Maybe there is the problem. I'm running appleshare
3.0 I don't know what version Eric is using (he might have even meant
using Sys 7 personal file sharing on the Mac - since GS/OS applehare is
the same for both.)

At any rate, let us know what version of system software you are using.
I curious in order to postulate a better answer.
