The IIgs does not have "on-board" expansion memory
slots for chips like the Mac. It has one expansion
slot to hold a memory _card_ which then holds the
chips. These expansion cards have held a wide
variety of chips, including SIMMs. What is still
available new is problematical. The easiest
solution is to buy a 4-meg card for about $120
already populated from one of the mail-order
companies.
