It's full name is the GNO Multitasking Environment, or GNO/ME. It is
written by Jawaid Bazyar and Tim Meekins of Procyon, and many others.
GNO is basically a UNIX-like kernel and shell for the IIgs. It can
multi-task text-based programs (shell utilities, compilers, etc.) It
is compatible with the ORCA shell, so existing ORCA utilities,
languages, etc. can be used with GNO.
GNO can also run one desktop program and multitask between this and
several text-based programs.
It runs under GS/OS. A hard drive is required, as well as at least 2
megabytes of RAM (I'd recommend more). It requires about 5 megabytes
of disk space for a reasonable installation.

I don't have a price from them yet (I got my copy from Resource
Central, who charged $85).
