Thanks to all for the advice -- I have a IIc, however, not a IIgs.  So I 
can't use Teach.  A friend of mine will be supplying me with a copy of 
ClarisWorks.  We'll see if it can import the AppleWorks 4.3 word processor 
files.  They contain a great deal of formatting, so converting to ASCII 
would be a real pain.
