Re: IRC #AppleIIGS - It's for the birds

Oh that's too bad; and it's taken you *THIS LONG* to do what
	I did MONTHS ago? Sheesh.

: I would like to stand up for Rich Wifall (TheJazz), who is nothing but a

: the falsetto king), all of whom were the reason I stayed there the last
: few months. If you can find the time to talk to any of these people, do so;

Of course, Jawaid doesn't mention the rest of the people who
converse there, and enjoy it; I guess the people who aren't
listed aren't worth typing: or something. :-/

: But avoid doing it on #AppleIIGS. For every Rich Wifall there are two
: dirtballs unworthy of the moniker "homo sapiens".

Sure there are; IRC is a bunch of dirtballs. I thought that's
	why we all started? :-)

Hahaha. Well i've put in the time & energy; and look who
	won out. ;-)

: replicating.

'cuse me. Lemme go get my hanky... (sniffle) I have emotion,
but I do not have pity in this case.

I learned to deal w/ #AppleIIGS long ago; I left because of
the verbal torment I was getting for being a 65816 pro-
grammer who asked questions of "complete idiocy" and comments
such as "Well if you didn't think you were so cool with
the 65816 maybe you'd have more friends" and etc. etc. etc.

For me, I need to LISTEN to this, but I don't believe a word
of it; truth hurts, but the truth is, i'm nothing listed
	above.

: Attempt to stand up for any of the victims of this, and you are
: automatically a miscreant, or "evil" (really! I was called "evil!"
: for saying NO MORE to harassment of a particular individual).

(grin) You've never stood up for me, Jawaid. I've stood
up for you a few times, and oh boy, I get a real welcome-
wagon entrance everytime I see you there, don't I.

: Basically, I was put up against the wall for having (and asserting)
: principles, by people who frown upon principles as something only
: crazy people believe in. So sue me.
			   ^^^^^^^^^
	I don't think we'll need to. ;-)

: To anyone who still wants to talk about the Apple IIGS on IRC,
: my nick is 'bazyar'. Just "/msg bazyar Hello!" and we can start
: a conversation (maybe even set up a permanent channel) that
: _actually_ contains IIGS-related talk besides Ian's latest
: high-handed moral condemnation of my work priorities.

This is truly low, Jawaid. Ian's doing a good job in what
he does; yeah, he's got an ego, but don't we all? It's
	like IRC-ethnocentrism or something. :-)

A day will come when you'll see the relevancy; I still haven't
seen it myself, and that's one of the main reasons I rarely
join #AppleIIGS: There's nothing there for me anymore. I do
rememeber how it was almost 5 years ago when I first came
there; I learned a lot, and I became "one of the guys" - and
now, "the guys" are turning into "children," so I left, on
	my own choice.

Oh well; there's virtually a limitless # of channels on IRC,
so not joining one can't kill us; or can it.
