Sure about the wording of the message? It normally says UNABLE TO LOAD PRODOS.
You get this if you try to boot a disk that doesn't have the file PRODOS or
there is an error loading it.

No version of ProDOS will run with less than 48K. If you have 48K you can run
ProDOS 1.0 only, and BASIC will not run. A 64K machine can run up to version
1.9.
