Second Sight supports so many different resolutions, and supports two
different monitor, should the supported software support all these?
First, we have to use 640x200x256, because those who use Apple monitor would
like to use this. Then we have to support 640x400x256, because some users
actually don't mind using interlaced. Then we have to support 640x480x256
because those with 14" monitor might find 800x600x256 font too small or just
want SS to run faster. Then of course we have to support 800x600x256 because
this is the maximum resolution for the default 512K version. Those with 1MB
and 17" monitor will want 1024x768x256...
It ends up that we have to support many different users, different resolutions.
So what shall we do? Write a program that runs only in one or two resolutions
(what a nightmare for user), or support all (what a nightmare for programmers),
or simply have something like a Mac - just choose the mode you want in CDev?
Or somthing like PC, choose a device driver?
