For what it's worth, I sent quite a few IIGS - created postscript files
from the IIGS to a GCC Technologies ps printer that supported RS-232.
I used a telecom program but not a modem -- just used the Apple printer
cable connected to the printer. I set the printer "mode" to SERIAL, set the
baud rate and data/parity on the IIGS to match the printer, and uploaded
the ps files to the printer.
Prints "beauties"! Possibly this kind of setup will work for you on the
pc...
